I had just returned from Vegas when I got contacted to do a "modern" sign for this client. Still had the Fremont district in my head! After telling him a modern sign was a 5' X 10' box with plastic faces and many sketches later convinced him the retro look would be coolest for his biz. This sign is approx. 7' wide X 8' tall with all illumination except the neon border provided by LEDs on aluminum substrate. We did deal on this project BEFORE I found out the area in which this sign resides is about to undergo a neighborhood revitalization project labeled as "Retrofitting the Retro". Very big plans on the books for this neighborhood and sure hope it comes to fruition. Area(my back door) really needs it! And, I like making and/or restoring cool signs. It's what I do. This sign is about two blocks down the street from the bowling alley sign from a few years back.

    HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!!!!!!!

Thanks very much r4f. I am by no means a graphics guy, but like I said I still had the "Vegas in me" and had to do something different and much more appealing than a big ugly rectangle. Graphically, I got lucky! My main deal is the hands on fabrication of the sign.
