This ewer is of incalculable historical value because it appears in a old photograph of pieces made by Loetz for Lobmeyr in the early 1900's. It appears in Neuwirth Loetz, Austria: 1905-1918: 356. The influence of ancient Roman glass is indubitable. The second ewer, in "melon rind" ciselé, confirms such an influence. 12" and 6.5".

    Beautiful glass, Alfredo.

That is amazing when you are able to document through a catalog.

Not a catalog. A two-volume research book by one of the most prominent German
investigators of Art Nouveau glass! I have three of his sets.

It is all on Internet and on Czech art glass books, including the one I reference above.
