I inherited this piece over 25 years ago and have lost the information about it. I believe it is European and 1800's. The dresser has dove-tail drawers and original glass drawer-pulls. there are metal castors on the legs. Any additional information about the age, maker, wood, etc. would be much appreciated. When I loaded the pics they were straight, not sure why they are not that way in the image? sorry for any inconvenience.

Nope not European, it is pure American and dates from about 1830s- 1860.

Beautiful birdseye maple veneers with a cherry base wood (cannot see the wood grain, but it is typical).

      I love the glass pulls.

I have several of these and am a big fan!

Your statements leave me with more questions than answers. I will let someone else comment so I don't put my foot in my mouth. No offense intended.

Yes we did. Scott was very generous with the age. I totally agree with every other comment. Birds eye was quite obvious but a poor grade.

The shape is empire but unfortunately the legs are not empire at all !
