    i picked this up at an upscale salvage yard in Berkeley yesterday. The owner said it was found in an estate in the Berkeley Hills which were being renovated. any info appreciated. it's 9.5 inches tall.

      As far as I can tell this is a Chinese white porcelain, or blanc de chine, Phoenix, probably one of a matching pair. Possibly Minguo Period 1912 until 1949. With a bit of luck there will be someone out there who knows far more than me, that can read the symbols on the base
