This is a variation on Kralik floriforms that I haven't seen before...I shall describe it as a vessel - somewhere between a vase & a cup - although there is no way it could possibly be used as a cup due to the shape.
Perhaps it could even be thought of as a basket with a handle to the side?
Whatever it is, it caught my attention. It measures 13.5 cm tall, 12.5 cm across the petalled top rim, & 3.5 cm across the base.
It is made from pinkish - mauve opalescent glass, with an applied handle in light green uranium glass.
Bohemian of course, Art Nouveau era.
I love a quirky bit of glass, and this is beautiful also. I love the transition of purple to pink.

It's gorgeous, no matter what you choose to call it. The top down view in image two showing the centre is so true to nature. A real find!
The handle is lumpen but it's still nice looking. I am always wary of the new! However, if we never take a punt on something, we will never learn or have the hope of discovering the really rare!
Kralik floriforms are included in 14 plates in "Bluehender Jugendstil" Vol 1 by Waltraud Neuwirth. None have handles nor, indeed, are the modified epergne flowers well-represented - only one example.
The plates represent production ca. 1900.

Thanks also, IanBrighton - I too find the handle slightly odd, but so much about the rest of it rings true when compared to my three other floriforms. I am almost always ready to take a chance on an unusual or offbeat item...I have always relied a lot on gut instinct with my collection. Actually there was another very unusual floriform on eBay a month or so ago, when I wasn't in a position to bid...a tall j.i.p basket. I was thinking it might even turn up on CW sometime as it would have appealed to plenty of folks around here...
