had to look back in files to see when I bought the item I posted on CW and began posting, long since deleted, but would have been around Feb 2011 also. Doesn't seem all that long ago.

Amazing that cool signs like the Black T are still out there. That is a very old sign to be soooo nice! Lucky you!

Thanks for the love Rattletrap and the nice comment:) I got this from a guy in St Pete Florida, he was in his eighties and he told me he got it 20 years earlier at a local antique shop. The lady that brought it to the shop was 90 something years old and it was from her family gas station on 4 th st north in St Pete. I only paid 250 and it's the rarest of the Texaco 42 inch signs because it doesn't say Gasoline and Motor oil on it Just Gasoline and its from 1915:) on the way back home a wheel bearing went out in my pickup and I just made it to a truck stop and the owner had an amazing gas pump collection including three 5 gallon fry's I asked her who did all her pump restoration and she said he was retired, by the end of the week I was in his game room buying my beautifully restored Bennett model 541!!!! Happy hunting !!!!!
