I bought this machine in the 1980's - never have seen one like it. Loved the color and paint. It was made in Japan but the moter says "Morse" and the foot pedal says "Mercury, made in USA" Would like to know more about it!

It is a clone of a class 15 Singer machine made in Japan . They are good little machines and will sew just about anything you want to sew . As to value around here ( Mid-West ) this type of machine sells for around $ 10.00 - $25.00 . This little machine will last forever if taken care of . I have one almost like it that was my grandmothers and it is among one of my favorite machines to use .

These Japanese made class 15 machines are very common. They show up with the most amazing names - Simon, love it :) They were shipped as just the head to any company looking to buy in machines, and were 'badged' with the re-seller's chosen name. It's not easy to tell who made these machines but if you look underneath it there may be a clue, you might find some letters and numbers such as JA or JC.
