Pretty art glass wall plate/plaque featuring two birds on branch with leaves. It measures approximately 10" in diameter. I am really fond of it as have had it for a few years now displayed in my kitchen next to window. It looks great with the daylight coming through showing the beautiful colours up really well. The leaves have been applied and there seems to be copper used in some way during the process as some of this is visible next to the birds. It is quite a thick and heavy item with quite rough or I suppose slightly textured feel to the reverse. Unfortunately there is a small fracture if studied close up but can't be seen otherwise and does not detract from its wonderful appearance, striking indeed!
I paid £4.00 to a local charity shop around three years ago and feel that I got a real bargain as I really love art glass and this really caught my eye.
Any help regarding date manufactured and manufacturer would be appreciated. I have tried to research time and time again without success and decided to join here and list some of my favourite unidentified pieces, mainly glass, so fingers crossed.
Thanks
Alex
