    ~ Hi CW Gang ~

Here is just a little collection of old Glass Insulators that I have around here. Never have really did any research on them for age or anything.
Just know some are: HEMINGRAY, DOMINION WHITTALL TATUM etc. Nor sure if anything rare or not. There is a crackled clear one in the back but I think someone had just put that one in boiling water or something. If you know if anything is rare and want me to take a sceond look at them, please let me know.

Thanks for LOOKING // LOVING !!

    ~ Rose ~

Those are nice. I know a little about them and I think all those are pretty common ones. Not to sure about the very dark one though.

@iggy - I think the purple one has a raised diamond on it for the mark. I think....LOL

Not sure, but the diamond actually might be Canadian made.

yeah I know the D in a Diamond shape is Dominion glass...but I think this just has a raised diamond shape......(no D ) so is that dominion glass too?

I remember digging these up also when I was digging bottles like yours when I was 16 to 20. I had quite a collection which I do no longer have. I especially liked finding the rare purple ones. There is a great book I think it was called bottles of the prairies and was a hardcover by a guy who was from spy hill. I sold some of my collection to him. I sold my first collection when I was 16.

Your library or the one in toon may have one but not sure if you can take it out.

I see some clear Dominion Glass ones. They have the diamond with the D inside. I think the dark one is Diamond glass which is older 1890-1913. Unless it has a D inside the diamond. That one is more valuable than the others.

Hi Rose! I think your dark purple one is a lil somethin somethin... there's a really detailed site for these. I'll see if I can find it for you! I'll be baaaaccckk!

There's one for you. It's not the one I was thinking of but it's been a while, maybe 6 years ago that I had a few and I'm sure that's just been upgraded since then...this one seems like the best out of the bunch I found.

I remember too that people would set the clear ones on top of their roofs so the sun would give them color. The color was usually faint, but it did it and they would try to sell it as the rare faint color that it now was, so be careful out there when purchasing them. Just like everything, know what you're buying unless it's just something you love!

      xoxo
