Tea set

I was given this set years ago. It's been on a shelf. It's a very dainty and fragile. I always thought it was beautiful. I've never used it and somewhere along the way lost a pepper shaker and a tea pot lid. I haven't be able to figure anything out about it. There is no name or maker on it. I believe its cherry blossom branches as a design. Maybe Japanese? Thoughts would be welcomed! Thank you
