This Thonet Armchair was a hole to hole cane seat chair. But clown with a router had time on has hands and changed it to a pressed cane seat chair. He didn't do a very go job routing the grove as he didn't make it deep enough, for the standard spline normally use in doing a pressed cane seat chair. I had to use a round reed spline instead they don't always hold as well.
