This is the G E "New Executive" Art deco machine age black digital Bakelite clock with chrome escutcheon; it was designed by Walter Dorwin Teague, in 1935. Two Varieties of this clock were made, a walnut case with a gold escutcheon, and a black on with a chrome escutcheon which is rarer (pictured). There are no company sales records for this clock.
The clock was touted in sales literature as a "new and moderately priced ($8.95 in 1935) cyclometer."
The Original cord has been replaced. It is in working condition and quite. The top of the case top has surface scratches along with the escutcheon around the numbers. The Clock measures 7.75" long by 3.25" tall.
What amazes me is that these clocks after almost 80 years in some cases, run better than today's digital clocks, and keep better time.
