Bohemian 19th century sulphide paperweight with a poodle. It is 3`` tall. Wheel cut 5 rows of different rectangles, 10 rhomboids of different shape in each row. The figure is deep embedded into clear glass with multicolored base. The figure itself is highlighted with what appears to be silver inclusions to enhance the form (shadowing). Including the base and the top – 52 cut surfaces in total. There are no air bubbles.
N.B.
1. Dog lovers will excuse my ignorance – I am a cat lover and I might be wrong with the poodle. The figure is clearly seen in all photos and you may recognize it.
2. I am not familiar with geometry any more – rectangles, rhomboids.
