Hi there, I need some help identifying this cars maker, I don't see any visible marks, it is rather large, 20in long,10 1/2 in high, 8 1/2 in wide
any info would be helpful there are no seats everything looks to me to be original except maybe a screw in the spare tire?

can you add a picture of the bottom
there you go
Thanks :) I was hoping to see if it was held together by screws. If so are they like + or like - .
no screws hold it together it looks welded or something
the only screw is in the back on spare tire, - click on that pic and you can see for yourself,
hard to tell from the pic...looks like a slot not an +

neer mind...I missed the size on that
Let's try this. Is there a reason for you to believe this is old? Are the tires metal or rubber? What is "like + or like -?" Oh philips or reg screwdriver? Duh.
It feels old ,looks old, its heavy ,the tires are metal and they roll, it looks like the little cars that are two peaces and they come together in the middle, i am sure by looking closer it must be the original screw because it has a square nut thing behind it. and its a regular screw ,not Philips what is the deal with only one break light? it is not broke, but it only has one.interesting that's the only screw on the car.
hey, I looked at that other car and even though its small it looks like it is from the same maker, unfortunately it dose not say who the maker is.
thanks you guys this is kinda fun!
HEY I HAVE THE SAME TOY CAR DID YOU FIND OUT ANY THING ELSE ON IT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT IT IF YOU KNOW..TO LILBEVEY..THANKS
did u figure out who made that yet? was just curious because i have one that is amost similar but smaller just a few differences. its not marked by who made it. has no back tire and there are 3 window areas one each side. looks to be spot welded together and some sort of screw or bolt in the middle holding it together
I also have the same car. I purchased it at the museum in Buffalo N.Y. when I went on a class trip about 50 years ago. My dad gave me a $20 bill and I spent the whole $20 on the car in the gift shop at the museum. I would love to know what it is worth today.
sorry I havent looked at my e mail for a while! there are some marks on the inside I have it packed away right now , when I get some time I will dig it out, in the mean time look inside your car i bet there is a letter and number as well, I took it to a lil store downtown and the guy said it was a reproduction, I dont belive it is and if it is it is still old.
Hi, I have an exact replica or original of your car but on a smaller scale, it is as your pic, and has the screw on the rear spare but no paint whatsover, how much would it be worth?
click on the link # 7 at the top someone sent and see if its like your car I will write more when i figure something out.
I have to comment:the item is made in CHINA,or taiwan in the last few (very few)years.all these claims of"grannies attic etc. are plain BS!!! no original piece is welded ,or held together with screws + or - ! Someone needs to get real about the inferior junk being passed off as"vintage, original ,antique and such!
I have to agree with gordon, but with a little more repect. I assume people are here to learn somthing and not be chastised for asking questions. It is definately a reproduction. The real giveaway is the the quality of casting. Looking at the pictures you can see the poor quality, the rough pitted finish. I collected repoduction mechanical banks when I was a kid in the 60's, this looks like some of the toys from Taiwan. The best way to educate yourself about cast iron toys is to go toy show and have a hands on feel of a old toy. The old cast iron toys were very smoooth cast. The screws and welds are also signs of a poor reproduction as gordon said. The delema we have is that some of these toys are now nearing 50 years old.
Well put rocker-sd, older repops are somewhat deceiving, but the rough casting and welds do give it away.
i found one of those cars today, in my father in laws shed. it's been there for 2o years, he passed away 12 years ago. there are no markings on it, the steel wheels turn and the spare is screwed on, it's got some surface rust on it. it has a metal
rod through the center, with some sort of welds on the sides.
