THIS IS IMPERIAL'S OLDEST ART GLASS LINE, DATING BACK TO 1911, AND ALMOST ALWAYS SIGNED IN THE MOLD WITH IMPERIAL'S DISTINCT GERMAN CROSS. THE GLASS WAS PURPLE. CLEAR AND OPAL ARE QUITE RARE. THE IRIDESCENCE S BRIGHTLY METALLIC, HENCE THE MISNOMER, "IMPERIAL JEWELS". THEY ARE ALSO QUITE WELL DOCUMENTED IN MEASELL'S BOOK. IRIDESCENT COLORS: PEARL RUBY, PEARL GREEN, PEARL WHITE , PEARL AMETHYST. THE VASE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIRST PICTURE IS A RARE PEARL GREEN.

Hello, recently I came across 2 pieces of very old imperial glass. They are 2 plates that have imperial spelled out with a cross type design. Two letters that spell imperial are one each side. The color is amberina. One plate sits on 3 ball feet. Would you know anything about the value or where I can find out? thanks, rich

I CANNOT TELL AT ALL UNLESS I ACTUALLY HAVE PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE PIECES. GO TO E-BAY FOR PRICES ON IMPERIAL, BUT BE AWARE THEY ARE INFLATED.
