THE NUART LINE BEGAN AS A VERY SUCCESSFUL SERIES OF CARNIVAL ART GLASS SHADES WHICH USUALLY HAVE AN EMBOSSED MARK ON THE TOP RIM. IT ALSO REFERS TO A LINE OF VASES WHICH MARK THE END OF ITS ART GLASS PRODUCTION. THE SHAPES ARE SIMILAR TO THE EARLIER ART GLASS, THE GLASS IS VERY THICK WALLED, MOSTLY GREEN, AND PECULIAR IN THAT IT HAS BOTH A PONTIL MARK AND AN EMBOSSED NUART MARK ON THE BOTTOM RIM, WHICH MANY TIMES ELUDES DEALERS AND COLLECTORS. I THINK THERE MUST BE ABOUT 7 KNOWN SHAPES. THE PICTURES DEPICT ALL I HAVE. THE RAREST IS THE BRONZE OVER CLEAR CRACKLE IN THE THIRD PICTURE. NOT SIGNED, BUT THE SHAPE GIVES IT AWAY.

A pity I did not keep any of my Nuart shades, as I changed into Czech.
Alfredo, I hope that I'm not being too forward for writing this but, please don't kick yourself. I think that I speak for many on CW when I write that your collection is nothing to sneeze at. In my opinion, you have nothing to feel bad about.
I wonder if you were the one I sold my Nuart cylindrical vase to - (a few years ago) - I got it at the Big Flea for $20 at the time and I didn't know diddly about Nuart at the time. Really cool stuff - kind of quirky the way some of them lean to and fro... :)
Well, it must have been one of the three cylinders above. Those are all I have. there are only 8 shapes.
This glass is beautiful--and an often overlooked line of Imperial Glass. The Imperial Glass Society's convention June 7-10, 2012 is highlighting NUART. Also, there will be a special NUART exhibit at the Imperial Museum in Bellaire, Ohio during 2012.
GLAS, THANKS FOR THE TIP. YOU CAN SEE THE REST OF MY IMPERIAL COLLECTION AT:

Look under Imperial.
The NUART exhibit at the Imperial Museum in Bellaire, Ohio is looking better than ever. Does anyone know of any documentation of the vases (numbers, colors, finishes, sizes, etc.) found in any journals or catalogs? I have found references to and ads for NUART in the old journals, but nothing of the nature about which I ask.
As far as I know, NUART vases were only done in one shape, one size. the color is basically green, with rare opal vases.
Some of the NUART vases are crystal too. As your pictures show at the top, there are several shapes. I cannot get to your site (mentioned above).
It was called NuCut, basically cut glass with a Nuart/ Imperial mark. I only have one. i used the link, and on my computer it worked. Just go to:
http://sites.google.com/site/loetzandgglass/Home/ and scroll down to Imperial.
