The 1946-48 Telechron Model 8B23, “Register” had a gun metal or bronze finished case with gold color ornaments and brass feet. The number drums are light ivory with black characters. It is 3.5 X 7.25 by 3 9/16 inches.
Introduced in October of 1946 for $28.00, the price had risen to $37.00 in 1948 when it was discontinued. According to company records 4,780 units were sold.
Unfortunately for this one, one of it's previous owners decided to polish it, thus the copper look on a bronze cyclometer. The patina has been destroyed.
The clock is in great condition runs quite and keeps the correct time. The cord has been replaced, and I cleaned the lens so Telechron shows up better.
