I am 50 years old and I remember going to Nana's house every day after school and all 5 of us would head straight for the cookie jar. This jar had a lid that was reversible. One side had an angel and the other a devil. I would get my cookie and flip the lid to the devil for my brothers. It is at least 50 years old. The handle has disintegrated! I believe it may have been a Stella Doro prmotional item because most of the cookies on it strongly resemble the Stella Doros. There are no markings on it. This, along with my Nana's Royal Doulton Sleepyhead are my most prized possessions.

Hi! I just bought a similar jar at a yard sale yesterday. It has lollipops on it with the reversable lid. I am trying to find info about it as well. Good Luck!

      Hi Tracy,
Stella Doro is now owned by another company and I emailed them. They have no information about it :( I love the reversible lids!

We had one growing up, too, which my sister has now. I have been looking online to see if I can find one. I haven't found much about it. I did see a collector site called Worthpoint that has info on what they think the jar is worth but you have to be a member to access the info. In order to be a member, you have to give credit card info and I don't want to do that. I just keep hoping I'll find another jar somewhere. It's just so cute! :)

Realizing ours is different - ours is a candy jar with lollipops on the side and that's the one that Worthpoint posted about. I guess they are different.
