My grandfather used to work for the state of Ohio in one of the state liquor stores in the mid 1950's. He brought home the empty cases to use as selves. I have never seen wooden cases of any brand before. Besides Beefeater, I also have Ballantine's Liqueur Scotch Whisky and Black and White Blended Scotch Whisky. Just wondering if they are worth hanging to. (yes, that is how Whisky is spelled on the boxes)

Is there a year it was made?
Looks like the stencil on the side would put the box at 1956.
