I found this going through some old stuff at a relatives house. I'm pretty curious how old it is and maybe the value and definately the history of old dishes like this. If anybody knows please help out. Thanks

Yes. It says made and guarenteed by meriden b company with the number 200L. It is in like a circle with weights in the center.

You can find the history of the Meriden Britannia Co and it's hallmark at this link:

I believe your piece could be a plate dome server. Further research on 200L may tell you the age of your piece.

Check out the Meriden B pieces on eBay. There's a plate dome server similar to your piece, as well as many other Meriden pieces. Here's the link: http://antiques.shop.ebay.com/Silverplate-/2212/i.html?_nkw=meriden

Victorian silverplate from about 1870s- 1890s.

Silverplate is very reasonably priced (not appreciated right now)-- this would go for about $20- $40 depending on the venue.
