I love the original Homer Laughlin Fiesta dishes for three reasons: 1) The colors are classic, beautiful and cheerful. 2) I bring back good memories of home because I was raised eating out of them on a chrome dinette 3) It's fun to mix and match them and pair them with table cloths and matts. The new Fiesta is fun, too, for those who are not fortunate enough to have the real thing, but I can easily tell the difference between the original and new pieces. The colors, glaze and feel are not as rich as the original. I started my collection when my mother gave me what she had not destroyed with daily use for 20 years and I supplement along the way. I am a careful user and enjoy eating from them almost every day. They set a lovely informal table on a black and white cloth.
