APA Oil was established in 1954 and shortly after their name changed to
Apache Oil. Hellen Johnson was awarded a $25 US savings bond for adding che thus Apache Oil. Their first well drilled in Cushing Oklahoma only produced 7 bbls per day. Their second well (Bradley Rafferty #1) produced 700 bbls per day. I have not seen another sign like this. If anyone has please let me know. Apache Oil is now one of the largest oil co. in the world.
