Hello All,

Can anyone tell me about this set> It is silver and has a mark that looks like either a star and moon with possibly Arabic writing on it. It has wood on the handles of 3 pieces. Is there a website that can give me additional information on this set?

On a serious note...you may be able to find the hallmark on this website. Good luck.

nice set - persian silver around 1920/30 - the pattern is called " isfahan " - would be a nice addition for my collection ;-)

I am from Isfahan and I have never seen a star or a moon mark on a silver piece. Star or a moon is usually marked on silver pieces made in Arabic countries or sometimes Turkey. If this piece is persian and not too old, you should see the number 84 in Farsi language inscribed somewhere on the piece. Very old Persian silver pieces usually have no marks.
