This novelty clock is 10” tall and 3” in diameter. It has a white marble case bedecked with gold ornamentation on the top, and on the dial. It is very Faberge’ looking in appearance.
It has two bands of numerals, Arabic numerals for the minutes (top) and Roman Numerals for the hour (bottom). To set the time on the clock, rotate the dials/bands to the desired minute and hour. The bands turn independently of each other. There are no maker’s marks that I can see, of course I am not brave enough yet to open it up.
The case is excellent condition; it doesn’t have any nicks or cracks. The minute dial is darker than the hour dial due to resetting the minutes. It loses about three minutes during the day, and I am clueless on how to slow it or speed it up. The cord has been replaced. It runs quietly without noise.
