Yet another Hammond "Tripoli" day and date calendar clock 1938. Hammond Made three different cases for the "Tripoli", my previously listed one here on Collectors Weekly which features narrow stripes spread out horizontally across the front of the case, one with three thick stripes centered horizontally across the front of the case, and this one with no striping.
This clock is in perfect shape with some minor dings and scratches. The time setting knob in back was a little hard to manipulate but fixes with a little oil. The minute hand, like the other Tripoli's , is stylized with a circle. Beautiful little shelve clock. It is an alarm clock also, the day and date functions work, and the clock runs and keeps good time, the alarm also works. The cord needs replacing but overall in excellent shape.

The dial on this clock is very nice. Love it!
I like the dial also, it reminds me a lot of Herman Miller's designs especially the numbers and the minute hand they look straight out of his design book. He used Hammond clock movements in a lot of his earlier clocks, he designed the face and the case, Hammond supplied the movements.
