    We have a collection of framed watercolor paintings signed by H Alexis. Would like to know more about this artist and if these are worth anything.

      I have two of his watercolors of Paris which I believe were purchased in Paris in 1959. I doubt that they were expensive, though they are very charming. The item by him recently posted on ebay for $49 that did not sell has the same woman as one of my paintings. So, they were likely done at the same time or near in time.

      I recently acquired a couple of these works of art. I am not an expert, just like to collect nice art especially when it is an original and signed by the artist. I tried to google the artist H. Alexis, and all I came up with was Henry Alexis-Schaeffer. When looking at some of this person's art online, the "H" in his signature is very similar to the "H" in H. Alexis' signature. Could be a coincidence, or not. Just don't know for sure. Anyone have any more info on H. Alexis signed art?
