The Doug Handwerk diecast collection includes countless Matchbox vehicles. The first two pictures are some of Doug's oldest pieces that he bought when the came out in the early 1960s. These cars may not be in the best condition, but Doug has gotten almost 50 years of enjoyment out of them. Dig the yellow Pontiac.

The third photo shows a display rack of Doug's unopened modern Matchbox cars. In person, it looks kind of like a Matchbox tree.

I have this same truck and trailor. The truck and trailor are part of the "Major Pack" series, they are "Major Pack Series No M2". They sold as one item and came in a larger box than the standard 1-75 Series. The blue truck is an English semi known as a Bedford Articulator Truck and the trailor is a Refridgerated Walls Ice Cream Trailer. Walls Ice Cream is a very popular brand of ice cream in England.

The first 2 Matchbox are part of the original 1-75 Series. There are 75 models in the series, thus the name. Over the years new models were added and the old ones were discontinued still keeping 75 models in the series. Sometimes the same model would stay but would be updated such as your yellow 1960 Pontiac Catalina convertible, it not only changed color but wheels change also. The grey wheels means they are early release, black wheels are later release. The Pontiac is 39 B in the series meaning the was another model before this one. Yours is about a 1962 release and was used up to 1967. There are 2 colors in this model the rare one being a violet color in 1962. The model in good condition is worth around $45.00 more with a box.

The blue Dunlop van is another "Bedford" model. My dad actually owned a real Bedford when we lived in England way back when. Matchbox used many different Bedford models. The "Dunlop Bedford" #25 A is the first in the series so it is a very early model made from 1956 to 1960 and was only around for 4 years before being replaced by another model. Your has the grey wheels which s normal for early Matchbox. Worth and easy $50 on up depending on condition.

Your 2nd picture with the Walls Ice Cream trailor and truck are worth at least a $100.00 depending on condition, always more if you have the box.
