I'm looking for someone who would have knowledge of when this clock was made and it's value. It's a Lackner and looks like it may say 1957 on reverse but not sure. It does not keep time but lights up, has tarnishing and some cracks on the sign portion. It was my grandfathers and would love to see it keep time again but I am unsure of it's value and whether or not i should just leave it alone. Any help would be appreciated.

The 1957 date is probably close to correct for the age of your clock. It is a really good looking clock and will be easy to fix, just find someone that works on clocks around your area. I'm having one fixed now and I'm in N.C. I see ads on Craigslist for a guy in Virginia & Maryland that also works on them.As far as price, I'd guess 250.00-350.00 when fixed. Good Luck! Steve

Pepsiguy49 is right, it is an easy fix. I've helped a couple guys fix up an ad clock, and the comment is the same each time..."hmmm, there really isn't anything to this". http://www.waynesneonclocks.com/product.html has the parts for [almost] any clock. It is a timepiece after all, and collectors want it to function as well. By replacing the motor/movement, it will not devalue the piece, in fact it will increase. A clock repair shop would do it for you, just depends on how much you want to spend. Where are you located...maybe somebody on this board would volunteer to help you with it. Nice clock!
