I saw another Viking on dj-reverb's page and recognized the spear. I told him that mine was a corkscrew and he checked his to find out that it was too! Voila!
Mine has some damage to the beard and he looks like some of the Kaj Bojeson figures/animals that I like so much. Probably just wishful thinking. The rope arm is a twist and the ears are of leather.
The horns reminded me of the salt and pepper set by Gense. Dating to 1955 they are in stainless steel with Bakelite bases. These were designed by Pierre Forssell for Gense Sweden. These are a simple conical shape, the salt being taller than the pepper and they are marked with an 's' and a 'p' for each. Marked GENSE 18/8 STAINLESS SWEDEN and the signature of P. Forssell.
SIZE: height of salt11.5cm/ 4.5 inches; height of pepper 9cm/3.5 inches.
WEIGHT; 96g

My photo was taken at a degustation lunch at Mendoza Argentina last year. The quote is "I'm not drunk just very happy!" Welcome to a glass or two any time will have to be good Ozzie wine . (actually much better than the Argentinian.)
And as for hansome you must have had a glass or two already??
I'll be there ; ) did you discover any delights? it is a great photo.
The Main delights were the scenery (just so spectacular ) and the people (mostly very friendly ) and some very good food. Picked up one piece of Loetz glass in Montevideo Ururguay and some indiginous textlies in the very north west Salta Jujuy region.
Sounded like you had a great time, lots to take in. wow, are they posted items?
