this clock has been in my family for as long as i can remember and im in my 50s now so im thinking this has got to be old and from my research on the web im getting the idea that its a HAMBURG AMERICAN CLOCK CO. clock from the 1800s but im only guessing that right if anybody with a little more knowledge about these things could tell me what they think and what the possible value might be so i can get it insured it keeps time and runs perfect it chimes on the hr and half hr. with a very strong resonating chime that fills the house kind of a pain in the ass late at nite when your trying to sleep other than that it has no problems its never been worked on since ive had it or to my memory when it hung in my parents home and i never saw it off the wall at my grand parents house until the day my folks took it off the wall to take it home and with all that said id appreciate anything anybody can tell me about it Thank you

spydwe31157 I love your clock. in due time you wont hear it strike at night. I have 48 clocks that chime or strike 24/7 and they never wake me. a knock on the door or bump on the wall is a different story. enjoy your clock
If you really don't like the chime, just don't wind the strike side...
Thank you for your comment you just told me something about the clock i didnt know that was what purpose the second key hole served now if youd only tell me which one that is thanks again
spyder31157 should be the key hole on your left. hey I got spyder right this time. sorry about that.
