I'm sure this is a Murano. There is still a tag stuck to the glass saying Venetian made in Italy. I was curious what design it is. I guess I need either a good reference book or a good website. Would appreciate any guidance or information.

Hi, Venetian glass was made by the Venetian glass company, obviously based in Venice, Murano glass is made on the Island of Murano and only glass made on the Island can be labeled Murano, although some people adhere to the fact that any glass from Italy can be called Murano, it's a bit of a sticky agrument amongst the collectors, here is a bit more information for you.

Thanks Susan for the information. In the future I'll be sure to correctly label any piece. I'm still looking for some references as to what this piece is called or any others I might find in the future. I can't seem to find info here on the internet and I am trying to educate myself in this area.
If you know of a catalog or website of all Venetian or Murano produced, I would love to know what they are. Thanks in advanced.
