This Circa 1930's-1940's ashtray I was told was made for hotels and business lobby's after a visit to our local Antiques Road show. It was mfg. by WM. H. Jackson Co. New York stamped into the bottom of the base. There is also the number 9002 stamped into the upper bowl of the ashtray. It weights about 4 to 5 Pd's. and stands 3 3/4 inches tall by 6 inches wide, the figurines I believe are nickle plated.
Update on this item 2-25-11
After further research I have discovered to the best of my knowledge that WM. H. Jackson Co. New York probably manufactured this ashtray for Tiffany Studios although it is not marked Tiffany Studios. I found the exact description for this ashtray on a website that sells Tiffany Studios items.

really good looking item
All I can find out is his stuff is highly sought after. It would be worth a good chunk of change. He made decorative fireplace items.
This is no ashtray, but this item might give you a better idea of what you have.

Poo that has an H in it. Without the H it would be an newer item I do believe.
