    (132 items)

I really wanted coin operated for my collection, and here it is. I circa late 40's- 50's stamp machine. I don't have a key, so i'm going to have to replace the lock. So except that and the condition of the front panel, all the mechanics work fine, except I need to tip the machine a little for the levers to go back up again. Paid 40 bucks. Can anybody help me on how I could fix this up a bit? I already dumped $7. 70 watching it work. :P

      Hello,
the First class postage for a letter was 6 cents in the late 60s. Looking at your vending machine on the left, 4 six cents stamps for 25 cents. Not to bring you down, , but this vending machine was produced after January 1968.

No, it says 2-5 cent stamps not two 5 cent stamps, as with the other. So you get 2-5 cent stamps in the folder.

Plus, that's just a cardboard insert, not the actual machine price. It's an insert that when you open the machine, you could change the stamp values.

Of course you are right, and I made a mistake. I did not notice the temporary paper over the price. My apologies.

It's alright, I'm a rookie so I make alot of mistakes also.

Hey cocacolakid, that's cool man! I just bought my wife one of these stamp machines at auction for $50. I will use Bar Keeper's Friend on my porcelain stuff to clean it a little but be careful not to rub too hard and watch your progress as you work. Use very little water to not cause any more rust problems. As far as inside the machine, I would try to take it apart and oil the inside a little where you see gears touching. Hard to get too detailed without seeing it in person tho. Don't use WD40 on it though, I would use a non spray
oil that won't dry out the mech. I use Quick Release lubricant on all my stuff. Gets rid of dirt and grime and creates a safe coating of oil.
