Another interesting pick by the "Ol Man". I really cant say much about this type of item I'm lucky I can even turn the computer on! He is pretty proud of this and has been asking me to post it so now I have. Anyone know how hard or expensive it would be to get a license to broadcast?

These are cb(Citizen Band) radios. My brother had a set in the mid 70's. There is no license requirements now. If you plug them and the smoke stays in them all you need is an antenna. These used to be the Cadillac of cb radios Great find !!

Thanks for the link foreverproof. I only asked about a license because I found the previous owners inside the instructions. Good to know he wont need one if this thing works thanks yurfriend.

We too were all into the [good buddy] cb craze in the late 60's thru the 70's. My dad had a 65'tower with an antenna another 15' above that in residential South OKC,and he had a Demco Super Satellite it was a similar unit to the Golden Eagle, seems like it was 3 modules, and he had very large way not legal at the time linear amplifier to send his signal all over the country and around the world. He did with that get at least one visit from the FCC that stuck him w/ a pretty weighty fine. At the time the Demco & The Browning were the ones that efficianados strived for. Cool find ,don't have any of my dads stuff left around here anymore. I did pick a biggo nearly 3 lb.walkie talkie with a 5' telescoping antenna ,only 2 channels ,uses 8 "c" batteries. Heard a little traffic on it the first couple of days after I got it , but it was "skip" and they could not hear me.
I know probably {T.M.I.} but once I started typing ,stuff kept coming. Thanks for sharing your pictures , brought back some memories.
