    When i moved into my house there was a door that had no knob and was jammed, We took it down and found this, Is it worth anything? but i think i might just keep it

    The name on the Dog Tag is - Brown, Dallas E JR
    The can openers say - USANDROCK
    The ring says - United States *ARMY* and its really wore.

      He enlisted as a private at age of 18 on 19 JUN 1945 at FT Leavenworth, KS. He was from Wyandotte, KS and was originally born in MO.

      I think it's pretty nice as a grouping. P-38s were often worn on dog tags, as were signet rings which could otherwise get in the way or hang up on things if worn in the field. I hope you leave them together the way you found them.

      I just picked up a scrapbook belonging to this same person from an on-line auction. It's full of pictures and some memorabilia from a furlow trip to Geneva Switzerland. Included was his driver's certification listing him in the 345th Engineers. Serial number was 37813573.
