Thrift shop find!! :) I'm a watch guy, but couldn't pass this one up! It's slate & marble and weighs about 23 lbs.! LOVE the visible escapement! Works perfectly, except I need to adjust the fork piece that moves against the pedulum to run the escapement- any tips?? >Hard to find info on this one- anyone have any ideas? Best guess is it's ca. 1887-1895 to compete with the French clocks of that period (Google-education only!:)? Also, it's had some resto work on it- possibly including new glass. There are small cracks at the 3, 6, 9 & 12 o'clock positions in the front stone panel directly around the movement seating- possibly tipped over onto the front?? You can see the newer plaster on the inside. Anyway, still looks impressive, works well and the movement looks all original. Comments/questions? Thanks for yuor time!
