My aunt gave this ring to my mother because emerald was her birthstone.
Now it has been passed on down to me. This ring has been easy to research because the hallmarks are almost the same as another ring my aunt gave to me. The maker is G J, the crown stands for England, 375 means 9 carats, and the anchor is the city, Birmingham. The last hallmark should be a letter, standing for the year, but I'm not sure what it is. It looks like a G on its side. Any ideas? I still haven't been able to determine the maker, G J. Nonetheless, I love the ring!!
