Hedwig got me started and he has been joined by Gufu.
He stands about 6 and 3/4 inches in height.There are markings on the bottom which read Gustavsberg Sweden /FLOCK 4 /SW.
Sven Wejsfelt was the designer of the piece.
Sven Wejsfelt , born 1930, died 17 March 2009, potters , freehand potters , sculptors and glaze maker , worked at Rörstrand (1946-1953) and Gustavsberg (1953-2008). In 1953 he was employed as a potter by Stig Lindberg for Gustavsberg. He performed most tasks in the studio: pottery, molding , decorative work , ceramic ornaments, typesetting for ovens and more. An all rounder who helped Stig Lindberg to get on with his design work.
