I'm wondering if anyone has an idea of value or rarity on something like this, I couldn't find anything on the company itself; its marked on the lid piece US DESK MFNG CO Chicago pat feb-12-89 ' may-13-90 so I guess its not truly unsolved
The base is wood, the metal looks to be brass
the cups look to be some type of plastic (the ones with the smaller holes have brass lids (I'm assuming the third one with the larger opening had one too and is missing)
I think the pen wipe part is real hair
I'm an artist, I draw in pen and ink and always find the older tools of the trade interesting but I tend to be more more of an ink bottle kind of a guy but I can't pass up a nice inkstand or inkwell either, but my knowledge in the area isn't as good so if anyone knows anything about this one I'd love to hear about it
