I was told this bell came off of a liberty ship.It hung on a building next to my fathers house in 1953.When my father purchased the building in 1970,I found it blackened from age in the back of the garage. I had the black patina cleaned with acid ,then bluffed by a chrome plater's shop. I built the maple stand. The bell has no markings, other then US.
Any information on this bell would be appreciated. Thanks,Ron
