2 D Haish Square Rail with Four Point Sheet Metal Barbs. Patented in 1874 by Jacob Haish of De Kalb, Ill. To me, this patent represents the transition between the wood fence rails and the barbed wire revolution that would change the west. A fantastic piece of history.
