This is a hand carved and hand painted pair of miniature Canada Geese.
The show great details-- the beaks, feet and feathers have a life like look to them.
The carver was well known in the middle TN area. These were carved about 15 years ago.
In the last picutre, I have added a quarter to show the comparative size-- they are both about 5" long and the standing goose is about 5 1/2" tall.

Thanks vetraio.
Thanks scandinavian.
The carver focused more on full size decoys, this was one of the few miniatures he ever did. I first saw it in emailed photographs and thought it was a full size carving.
I have several other carvings that I will post when I get a chance.
