got it from my grandfather who lived in chicago from the early 1900s until the 1970s. I believe it has to be at least 100 years old or so and had it lying around so I was trying to see what people thought of it and whether or not i should keep it.

That's a beauty! Washburn was (is!) a nice instrument maker, and this looks like a very pretty model.... looking at the pretty inlay and the detail on the back of the head, I think it's a keeper.
