This is an old Cosco chair / stool. It has a step stool under the chair that folds out. It is very neat. In one of the pictures is the sticker that it has on it. Any idea of year?

My mom had (has) that and she is 94 years young! I imagine she bought it sometimes in the 50's and it is still used in her basement.
Wow, CindyJune. That is very neat. Thank you for the info!
We have this same stool in our kitchen. We use it all the time!
My mother had the same stool when we lived on a farm in Springfield, OH. It was nice and sturdy. It was made to last. I used to sit on it a lot. Ours was painted exactly like yours. Seeing it brought back memories of peeling apples in the kitchen sitting on the stool.
It seems this chair was pretty popular back in the day. I'm saving it until I get a bigger place so it can be used just like all of you have used it! Thank you for all the stories.
my grandmother had one, she passed in 2006 at 98 years young, now I have it but not to where I can take a picture of it, packed away in storage, maybe i can get a picture of it sometime soon :)
I have the same chair. I would like to know about it as well.
I have the same chair/stool, although mine is quite a bit more weathered and it is orange. Great idea though, it is pretty comfortable for metal and I love multi-functional things.
This is a great little stool/chair, and brings back fond memories of sitting in the kitchen where Mom had the metal cart on wheels that was also multi-functional. Thanks for the memories, Mrj303!
Yes those are good memories. I also have the cart. Happy collecting!
Neat! I don't think I have ever seen the cart. Is it red as well?
My mother had a blue one when I was a kid...I have no idea what happened to it.
Thank you everyone.
Mid 50's. Many a haircut was delivered on our family's red and chrome
version. I had 4 brothers and remember tromping up those steps to get my crew cut.
Mine is red. ... funny that this seems to be the greatest common denominator I have seen on this site.
I seen a green one the other day at an estate sale. The house was nothing but 1950s and 1960s things.
You should have bought it so you could have been with the "in crowd."
Isn't it odd that an old stool can get so much attention? I guess quality lasts!
It was bought within 2 minutes of the doors opening
priced at... ?
I have no idea who's stool this is originally. I have one like it and posted just that "I have one like it" I am getting so many emails on people that have commented on my post. IT IS NOT MY POST! Sorry!
