One of my greatest passions in collecting antique jewelry is Micro Mosaic. I am very happy with this parure consisting a bracelet and a brooch. The tesserrae are almost completely intact and the whole is put in black oval glass or Onyx. The bracelet and brooch are both 585 hallmarked is equivalent to 14 K. The Micro Mosaic brooch is in mint condition. Only in the black glass/Onyx on the front three very tiny cracks only to see with a magnifier. In the Micro Mosaic brooch only two tesserrae are missing and two minor cracks in the black glass/Onyx, further in excellent condition. Actually in all, this set is in very good condition. Does anyone have any idea of the present value ? Please send your response.

Hi Ms Agram, how are things in Holland? This is one gorgeous set you have.I once had a Micro Mosaic bracelet made in Italy which I sold, after seeing your beautiful set I am kinda sorry I did.
Hoi Dottie,
Thanks again for your comment. Yes indeed what a pitty you sold. I don't want too because I see this set as a special treasure. But I'm curious to know two things: 1. Looked your bracelet like mine? And was yours also made in 14K?
2. But the last major question, approximately how much you sold it? Obviously mine is one of a set of what will undoubtedly be able to increase the value, but nevertheless I am curious.
I'm looking forward to hear your answers. In my country all goes well but the economical crisis will be an hot item both in Europe and in the U.S.(whole world). Wish you good luck in collecting!
Hi Ms Agram,
No,my bracelet did not compare to the beauty of your set(I see you have added a few more items to your photos) mine was not gold or even silver but some type of pot metal I think ,but it was cute and it had small red flowers. It did not sell for all that much, only about $50.00.So hang onto your treasures, with the price of gold these days they are sure to be worth a small fortune.
Thanks for the good wishes on my collecting,it has been a busy summer but I have a long 4 day weekend from work coming up,I plan to visit a few places to see whats available,I hope to find a few things of interest.Have a nice evening!
Thanks Dottie for your information. I'll hope we meet again in our mutual passion in collecting antique juwelry!
the book "old jewelry" 7th ed. has similar Roman mosaics with the black background... 14k ring $495US, 18k brooch $985
Thanks a lot for this information Jennie MB. Perhaps interesting also for other items in the book.
