I went picking for the first time yesterday evening after work. I cannot find much on the internet about this item except that the ladies version of this bycicle is harder to find. The lady I bought it from said it was her first bycicle and she used to love to ride that thing everywhere. I saw dollar signs when i first saw this bike lol. I cannot even find this bike on ebay to put a price tag on it. (Picking is a blast by the way.)

look on the frame for a serial number under the crank, it looks like an old Schwinn, or does it say Huffy under that pedal, on the chaingard? Schwinn use to make bikes and other dealers would sell them and use thier namebadge on the neck, it doesnt look that old, maybe early 70's or late 60's? Corvair was a 1960's car I'm pretty sure. good luck, it still looks like a fun bike.

I currently own this very bicycle. I was looking for more information on it and your photos came up. I was so amazed. My husband got me this bike for Christmas from a shop in Beatrice, NE. when I saw the three red reflectors and the dent on the fender I knew for sure it was mine. As I type this I am sitting next to it in my dining room.

Patti, that is so cool that the buyer of this bike is on here also. I opened my email this morning and I saw one new comment on my post on show and tell from collector's weekly. I was wondering what it was because haven't gotten an email from them in a while, then I read the comment on it and was amazed. I picked the bike in Kansas, but go to college in Nebraska. Where are you from?

I live outside Lincoln, NE. I am wondering when you bought the bike and was the lady you picked it from the original owner? Do you go to school in Beatrice? That is where my husband bought the bike. Just such a funny thing to see pictures of my bike on here.

Patti, I bought this bike in July or August of 2011. The lady I picked it from told me this was her very first bycicle. I am currently attending college at Southeast Community College majoring in Agribusiness.

Today, I seen a corvair bicycle, instead of a huffy on the chain guard, it had the name (Thunderbird)...rarer yet, you'd think.
