nice lamp! i have a lamp very similar to this one, with the same kind of stone/glass. mine is a large floor lamp though with a stained glass shade. just love it thanks for sharing!
LOVE the lamp. The shade doesn't quite work for me. Looks like an add-on. FWIW.
Yeah...This was made from pieces of at least 5 different lamps.I wasn't sure about the shade either.I chose this one because it glows also.I may have to rethink it...
the shade is alright for now...or at least until you can find a different shade.
I have quite a few slag lamps and I always have a hard time getting a shade that works with them.
You did an outstanding job with the lamp. It's size and proportion balance nicely. My observation on the shade is subjective and not mean spirited in any way. I wonder what a small white sphere would look like ? !
ohh savoychina that sounds like a great idea! i think a shade like that would look great!
I didn't take it as mean spirited.I took it as honesty. And that is a great suggestion.I think that may work. The search will begin tomorrow. Thanks
I changed the shade to a yellow opaline one that I think works better. But the search for the white globe will begin today.I think the globe will be a good fit.Kinda lookin like a street lamp. Thanks again for the suggestion !
I really like that color . Looking forward to more !
you got great talent hedge keep up the great work

My aunt has a floor lamp that had belonged to my grandmother with this exact same top section, jade green glass ornamentation and a twisting metal structure arising from a heavy brass or metal base. Can you tell me what company manufactured these lamps. My aunt offered to leave me my grandmothers lamp, but just in case I am interested in finding and perhaps aquiring one for myself. I looked over about every inch of my aunt's lamp and could find no company markings of any kind to identify the manufacturer.
i love it.... but i love it with the ruffled shade
Thanks hobnail !! There was some differance of opinion on the shades.I want to get a plain white globe and try that.I think it would give it a street light look .
