This is a crock from Win Schuler's restaurants. Originally it would have been filled with the famous "Bar Scheeze" and was served to guests who may have waited up to 2 hours for a table at the restaurant, along with meatballs in barbecue sauce and a loaf of French bread as a gesture of hospitality. I like your crock but I must say I like the cheese spread that was inside even better! I live in NW Indiana and I've been to Win Schuler's several times, although not in recent years. As a kid I remember waiting hours for a table. I see that the restaurant celebrated its 100th anniversary a couple of years ago. Longevity means that it is truly a great restaurant.
