I recently bought this reel, box and papers. The reel is in mint condition but the box is pretty bad off.
Very rare reel. Manufacture pre-1965 for about nine months.
This reel was made for Okiebug Tackle Stores, 3501 S. Sheridan, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145 and then throughout the southeast. Okiebug is now out of business. On the box I noticed in print "Made For Keystone". I did a Google search for this but came up empty handed. I emailed Dick Braun, a Zebco collector about the term Keystone and this is what he told me...... "Years ago my Dad told me that keystone was a term used to tell a retailer that the selling price of an item was twice the wholesale price that they paid for it. Hope this helps, pretty simple if true but the only thing I've ever heard about the term, "KeyStone". One more note, from the seller....."The box however is not in real good condition but it holds the reel. This box is as rare as the reel. It is hard to find and get in any condition."
