    The top wire is the Scutt Double Clip Butterfly barb (H-201 B) patented in 1877 by Hiram Scutt of Joliet, Ill. Patent #193,557. The middle wire is an unknow patent (H-90 G) that features a four leaf sheet metal barb with a square hole. The bottom wire is the Brainard Vented Diamond on a small ribbon (H-1512 B) Patented by Curtis Brainard of Joliet, Ill in 1883. This patent can also be found in a two twisted strand form (H-627 B). Patent #287,091.

      Nice group. Really love the Brainard vented diamond. I have the two twisted wire version. It is different than the others I've seen. It only has one tab clipped to one wire. The other is cut out completely.
